Divine Dowsing Addon for Minecraft Bedrock 1.20
Divine Dowsing brings dowsing to Minecraft. Instead of guessing where to dig, use a dowsing rod to find exactly what you’re looking for underground. Ten different rods each point you toward specific resources, from water to lava to hidden geodes.
What You Get
The addon includes 10 dowsing rods, each one specialized. Hold a rod and use it to scan for nearby resources. Results show up in your chat so you know what’s down there and roughly how far. The rods search in a + shape below you, which means you can dig straight down and hit everything the rod found (risky but effective).
The 10 Dowsing Rods
- Oak rod finds water
- Birch rod finds ores
- Spruce rod finds caves
- Jungle rod finds underground structures
- Acacia rod finds cave biomes
- Dark Oak rod finds geodes
- Crimson rod finds lava
- Warped rod finds nether ores
- Cherry rod finds decorative stone variants
- Mangrove rod finds modded blocks
How to Use
Grab a dowsing rod and hold it in your hand. Right-click (or interact) to activate it. The rod tells you what it found in the chat. Since rods search in a + shape downward, you can dig straight down from where you’re standing and reach everything below you.
Crafting and Upgrades
Crafting a Dowsing Rod
You need 4 logs and 1 enchanted stick. Get enchanted sticks from witches or make them yourself. To craft an enchanted stick, hold an enchantable stick and right-click. It costs 4 experience levels.
Upgrade Your Rods
All rods can be upgraded to improve three things. Upgrading boosts durability from 80 to 250, increases range from 64 blocks down to 128 blocks, and cuts the cooldown from 3 seconds to 1 second.
Version and Compatibility
Divine Dowsing works on Minecraft Bedrock 1.20 and plays nice with basically any other addon. The rod even detects custom ores from modded addons, so it stays useful no matter what else you’re running.
