VeinMiner Plugin for Bukkit, Spigot, and Paper

VeinMiner is a plugin that does exactly what it sounds like: sneak while mining an ore block and the entire vein breaks instantly. No more breaking individual ore blocks one by one. This is a server-side version of the popular VeinMiner mod, built for Bukkit-compatible servers with all the flexibility and power you’d expect.

What VeinMiner Does

Hold sneak (default shift) and break an ore block, and the whole vein cracks. The plugin has a powerful block list that you can customize in the config file or in-game with commands. You can set different rules for different tools (pickaxe, axe, shovel, etc.) and even group blocks by aliases to make mining feel smooth.

This is perfect for Prison servers, Factions, and Semi-Vanilla servers. Players get rewarded without the gameplay feeling broken or pay-to-win.

Commands

/veinminer (alias: /vm)

• reload – Reload the config file
• version – Show the plugin version
• blocklist [tool] – Manage blocks for a specific tool
  • add [block] [data] – Add a block to the list
  • remove [block] [data] – Remove a block
  • list – Show all blocks for that tool
• toggle [tool] – Turn vein mining on or off
• pattern [namespace:key] – Change the mining pattern

Examples:

/veinminer toggle axe
/veinminer pattern veinminer:default

Permissions

veinminer.veinmine.* – Use vein mining for all tools (default: all players)
veinminer.veinmine.pickaxe – Use with pickaxes
veinminer.veinmine.axe – Use with axes
veinminer.veinmine.shovel – Use with shovels
veinminer.veinmine.shears – Use with shears
veinminer.veinmine.hoe – Use with hoes
veinminer.veinmine.hand – Use with hand mining
veinminer.blocklist.* – Access blocklist commands (default: ops)
veinminer.reload – Reload the config (default: ops)
veinminer.toggle – Toggle vein mining (default: all players)
veinminer.pattern – Change mining patterns (default: all players)

How to Install

1. Download the plugin JAR file from the links below
2. Stop your server
3. Place the JAR in your plugins folder
4. Start the server and let it load completely
5. Optional: Edit the config in plugins/VeinMiner/ to customize blocks and settings
6. Type /reload in console or use /veinminer reload if you made config changes

That’s it. The plugin will work immediately after the first start.
