Highlands Mod 1.7.10
Highlands Mod makes exploring Minecraft way more fun. It dumps 40+ new biomes into your world and completely changes the terrain. No more boring flatlands. You get proper mountains, valleys, lakes, and forests that actually feel like real places to build and explore.
What You Get
The mod adds 14 different tree types. Each one has saplings you can farm in survival mode, so you’re not locked into vanilla wood forever. Want to build a treehouse with some exotic trees? Mine enough soul sand from the nether and grab some special saplings, and you’re good. It takes a bit of exploring to find them all, but that’s kind of the point.
The real game changer is biome-specific ore generation. Instead of finding everything everywhere, each biome is better for mining certain ores. Woodland Mountains have tons of diamonds. Volcanoes have double or triple of basically everything. Rainforests are the place for redstone and lapis. This makes exploring underground actually strategic instead of just grinding.
Biome Ore Breakdown
- Alps, Pinelands, Mountains: More iron
- Autumn Woods, Savannah, Outback: More gold
- Cliffs: All ores generate at double height with same frequency
- Highlands, Mixed Forests, Tall Pine Forests, Bogs: More coal
- Tundra: Ice generates underground like coal does
- Woodland Mountains, Meadows: More diamonds and underground water
- Rainforests, Tropics: More redstone and lapis lazuli
- Volcanoes: Double or triple of all ores, with lava pools

Installation
