About the Temple of Notch Map

This is a redstone adventure map where you enter an ancient temple to face judgment from Notch himself. The map features interactive redstone mechanics that determine your fate. Will you be blessed with treasure, or cast into the depths? Only Notch knows.

What’s in This Map

The Judgment System

You’ll place an offering in the “Well of Destiny” to unlock the temple doors. Once inside, Notch judges you using a fully functional redstone contraption. You either get rewarded with wealth or sent into the dark depths below. It’s a cool mechanic built entirely with redstone.

Interactive Redstone

The whole temple is packed with working redstone. Doors, mechanisms, and the judgment system all run on redstone engineering. Nothing is fake or just for show.

Single Journey Adventure

This is a one-time experience where you face your judgment. If you want to try again, you can reset the machine by retrieving your offering from the well.

How to Install

1. Download the map file below
2. Unzip the folder if it comes compressed
3. Move the folder to your .minecraft/saves directory
4. Open Minecraft and load the world from your world list

Version Info

The Temple of Notch was built for Minecraft 1.8 and is compatible with newer versions. If you get errors, try updating to a version closer to 1.8 or newer.

Important Tips

• Play in Peaceful mode. Endermen will destroy the redstone blocks and ruin the temple mechanics if you don’t.
• The OCD Texture Pack is used for this map and gives it the best look, though it’s optional
• If you want a second judgment, grab your offering back from the well to reset everything
