Iron is a solid starting point. You'll find iron easy enough to farm, and it's a noticeable upgrade over vanilla. Move to Diamond once you have the resources for endgame stuff.

Do these bows work with enchantments?

Yes. All of them work with vanilla enchantments like Power, Punch, Flame, and Infinity. They also work with modded bow enchantments.

Can I use Iron Bows with other mods?

Is this mod for Fabric or Forge?

It's a Forge and NeoForge mod. Install it like any other Forge mod. Fabric versions aren't available.

Iron Bows Mod adds tiered bows to Minecraft so you can actually progress your archery setup beyond the basic wooden bow. If you’re tired of sticking with vanilla bows, this mod gives you Iron, Golden, Diamond, Emerald, and Netherite options. Each tier hits harder and lasts longer.

Bow Features

Iron Bow

Your first upgrade. Adds 1.0 bonus damage and has 768 durability. Solid step up from the wooden bow.

Golden Bow

1.5 bonus damage. Breaks faster at 576 durability, but it’s a middle option if you want something between Iron and Diamond.

Diamond Bow

2.5 bonus damage and 1920 durability. This is where archery gets serious. Way more reliable than vanilla.

Emerald Bow

3.0 bonus damage, 2304 durability. A step above Diamond if you want even better performance.

Netherite Bow

The top tier. 5.0 bonus damage and 3456 durability. Nearly indestructible archery weapon.

How to Get These Bows

You craft all of them at a crafting table using the material that matches the bow name. For the exact recipes, it’s easiest to just check in-game with Just Enough Items (Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (Fabric).

All bows work with vanilla and modded enchantments, so power, punch, and flame all work as you’d expect.
