QueADV’s No Shield Delay Mod (1.21, 1.20.1)

QueADV’s No Shield Delay Mod removes the shield activation delay in Minecraft, letting your shield block attacks instantly. In vanilla Minecraft, there’s a 5-tick delay when you raise your shield, which leaves you vulnerable to hits you thought you blocked. This mod cuts that delay completely so your shield works the moment you pull it up.

What Does the Mod Do?

The mod modifies how the shield works at the game code level. When you raise your shield, it blocks damage right away instead of waiting for the vanilla 5-tick activation timer. This means no more “I raised my shield but still took damage” moments. It’s a straightforward change that makes combat feel more responsive.
