The Methyr Mod adds a completely new dimension to Minecraft with its own ores, mobs, and progression system. It’s designed for players who want a fresh survival experience with challenging new content.

Finding the Methyr Dimension

You can’t just walk into the Methyr. First you need to find a Portal Room. These spawn naturally in your world. Inside, you’ll find a Methyr tome that explains how to access the dimension and tells the story behind the portal. Read it if you want the full experience, the tome contains the actual access instructions.

What’s Inside the Methyr

Once you enter, you’re starting fresh. The Methyr has its own set of ores and unique hostile mobs. You’ll face off against the Hatilum, Wolves, Wasps, Salamanders, and the Evil Tree. Each mob has different attack patterns and drops, so learning their behavior helps you survive.

Mining and Smelting

Standard furnaces won’t work in the Methyr. You need a Crusher to process your ores. The Crusher requires Catum fuel, which you can find in the dimension. Catum also works as a torch fuel if you need light. Crush your ore chunks and you’ll get shards that can be used for crafting and progression.
