Hearths Data Pack adds new features and structures to the Nether. It improves three vanilla biomes: the Nether Wastes, the Crimson Forest, and the Warped Forest. Plus, you get two new towers that are almost 100 blocks tall.
What Hearths Adds
Nether Wastes Improvements
The Nether Wastes get spikes of netherrack that look like stalagmites and stalactites. There are also blackstone and magma formations scattered around. Instead of a flat desert, the wastes now feel like a hostile underground cavern.
Forest Upgrades
The Crimson and Warped Forests get blackstone rocks, fallen fungus stems, and new sprawling fungi. Vegetation density goes up too, making the forests feel more interesting to explore.
New Towers
Two new structures spawn in the forests: the Crimson Tower and the Warped Tower. They’re almost 100 blocks tall, contain loot and mobs, and you can use them as vertical elevators to get between different levels of the Nether.
How to Install
Installing data packs is easy. Just extract the file and place it in your world’s datapacks folder. For step-by-step instructions, check out our guide: How To Download & Install Data Packs
Compatibility & Versions
Hearths works with most mods and data packs that change Nether generation, like Amplified Nether. It won’t work perfectly with data packs that modify the biome files of the Nether Wastes, Crimson Forest, or Warped Forest. The towers should always spawn though, no matter what else you’re using.
