What is XyCraft Mod 1.4.6?
XyCraft (also called Zy-Craft) is a tech expansion mod that adds new ores, crops, and liquid dyes to your world. It’s a solid addition if you’re running Forge and looking to expand your resource options without bloating your modpack.
Features
New Ores and Resources
The mod generates Xychorium ore and Aluminum in the world. You’ll find them naturally while mining, just like any other ore.
New Crops
XyCraft adds Corn and Henequen seeds that spawn in tall grass. Break grass like you normally would to collect them, then plant and farm them just like wheat.
Block Decorations
The mod includes aesthetic blocks that prevent mob spawning without needing torches. Some blocks glow without emitting light, which is useful for building.
Liquid Dyes
You can make all 16 Minecraft dye colors as liquids. Put two regular dyes in a Forestry squeezer and get liquid dye back. These can be piped around and stored in tanks from Railcraft or Buildcraft. When the mod’s Machine package releases, there will be a dedicated machine for this instead.
Installation Instructions
- Install Minecraft Forge for your version.
- Download the XyCraft Mod file below.
- Place the .zip file directly in your .minecraft/mods folder. Do not unzip it.
- Launch Minecraft and it will load.
Compatibility
XyCraft works well with other tech mods like Thermal Expansion, Forestry, Railcraft, and Buildcraft. Check the mod description if you hit any issues with a specific mod combination.
