Can I use Woolcutter with other data packs?

Yes. Data packs work together most of the time. If you hit issues, try loading Woolcutter last in your datapacks folder.

Do I need a new world for this?

No. Add it to any world and the recipes appear right away. You don't need to restart.

Why use this instead of normal crafting?

The stonecutter is faster and takes up less space. You can convert between colors without collecting tons of dyes.

Is this a mod or data pack?

It's a data pack. No Forge or Fabric needed. Just drop the file in your datapacks folder.

Woolcutter Data Pack lets you cut wool and banners on the stonecutter. No more messing with furnaces or hoarding stacks of colored wool. Just toss a banner or bed in and get what you need.

What You Get

Stonecutter Recipes

The stonecutter gains new recipes for wool blocks:

Convert any colored banner to matching wool, and vice versa (all 16 colors)
Trade colored beds for matching wool or swap between bed colors
Cut wool into carpet, 3 carpet per wool

New Crafting Table Recipes

Craft custom banner patterns with simple materials:

Paper + Map = Globe Banner Pattern
Paper + Golden Apple = Mojang Banner Pattern
Paper + Gold Block = Piglin Banner Pattern
Paper + Skeleton Skull = Skull Banner Pattern
3 Carpet = 1 White Wool

How to Install

Data packs are simple. No mods or loaders needed.

Download the version for your Minecraft
Open .minecraft/saves/[world name]
Go to the datapacks folder (create it if it doesn’t exist)
Paste the .zip file inside
Load your world and you’ll see a confirmation message
