GeruDoku Classic brings back the medieval texture pack that absolutely dominated Minecraft during the Yogscast era. If you remember this pack from back in the day, you already know what you’re getting. It’s a 32x texture pack with that old-school medieval look that just works. Simple, consistent, and nostalgic.
Why GeruDoku Classic?
GeruDoku was huge when it first came out. Tons of players used it, and for good reason. The textures have a solid medieval aesthetic that fits survival worlds perfectly. The problem was newer Minecraft versions broke compatibility. This Classic version fixes that, letting you use GeruDoku again on modern Minecraft.
What’s Included
Medieval Aesthetic Throughout
Everything follows a consistent medieval theme. Blocks, mobs, items, UI elements. No random colors or textures that don’t fit the overall look.
32x Resolution
32x is the sweet spot. Detailed enough to look good, but it won’t destroy your FPS even on older hardware. Pairs perfectly with OptiFine for extra visual polish.
OptiFine Ready
This pack takes full advantage of OptiFine features like connected textures and custom skies. You can use it without OptiFine, but you’ll get more out of it if you have it installed.
How to Install
Installation is straightforward:
- Download the file for your Minecraft version below
- Open Minecraft and go to Options > Resource Packs
- Click “Open Pack Folder”
- Drop the downloaded file into that folder
- Go back to Minecraft, select GeruDoku Classic, and activate it

Requirements
This pack works great with OptiFine. While it’s not required, OptiFine really brings out the best in GeruDoku’s textures with connected textures and custom graphics options.
