Improved Fishing Data Pack

Tired of normal fishing? This data pack completely overhauls Minecraft’s fishing system with 140+ new loot items, eight tiers of sea creatures including boss-level enemies, and custom fishing rods. You can pull everything from rotten flesh to netherite from the water, along with epic treasure boxes and exclusive drops.

What’s New

Massive Loot Tables
Fish up 140+ items across three categories. Common catches like rotten flesh, rare treasures like sunken treasure boxes, and mythic gear you can only get from sea creatures. There’s actual incentive to keep fishing.

Sea Creatures System
Catch and fight 74+ unique sea creatures with eight rarity tiers. These range from vanilla creatures to bosses with 2x the HP of the Wither. Each one drops custom loot, minerals, enchanted books, and exclusive fishing rods. The toughest enemies drop items like the Jaded Fishing Rod from the Jade Extinction boss.

Treasure 5% | Basic 21% | Common 18% | Uncommon 16% | Rare 14% | Epic 11% | Legendary 7% | Mythic 5% | Divine 3%

Custom Fishing Rods
One unique rod for each sea creature rarity level. Most can be fished up from creatures or unboxed from Atlantis Treasure. Your first rod comes from a Drowned Fisherman. Each rod boosts your chances for better loot and sea creature encounters, designed for different playstyles.

How to Install

1. Download the data pack file for your Minecraft version below
2. Locate your .minecraft/saves folder on your computer
3. Open your world folder and navigate to the datapacks folder
4. Paste the downloaded file inside (do not unzip it)
5. Load your world and enable the data pack when prompted
6. You’ll also need the matching resource pack for this to work properly
