What is Rainbow XP Mod?

Rainbow XP Mod does one thing and does it well: makes your XP orbs look better. Instead of dropping the same dull green every time, orbs now spawn in randomized colors that actually brighten up your world. The mod generates colors by picking from preset palettes most of the time, then adding slight variations so each color feels unique. No more boring drops.

How It Works

The mod uses a simple randomization system. Most of the time (93% of drops), it picks a preset color and randomizes the RGB values slightly, so you get variations of greens, blues, purples, etc. Rarer drops get fully random colors. The orbs also have a subtle glow that makes them stand out without being annoying.

Edited Classes

Rainbow XP Mod edits the EntityXpOrb and RenderXpOrb classes. If you’re running another mod that also modifies these same classes, there will be conflicts and the mod won’t work properly.

Installation

1. Go to .minecraft/bin/versions and find your Minecraft version folder
2. Open minecraft.jar with WinRAR, Bandizip, or another compression tool
3. Delete the META-INF folder inside the jar
4. Copy the mod class files into minecraft.jar
5. Close the jar and launch Minecraft
