About Roentgenium
Roentgenium is one of the element blocks you can use in Minecraft Education Edition. It represents element 111 on the periodic table and has the symbol Rg. You get access to it through the Chemistry Update that’s built into Minecraft Education Edition.
This element block is available in Minecraft Pocket Edition, Windows 10, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch as long as you enable the Education Edition chemistry features. If you’re not sure how to turn this on, we’ve got you covered below.
Enabling Chemistry Features
To use Roentgenium and other element blocks, you need to enable Education Edition chemistry in your world settings. Here’s how it works:
When you create a new world, toggle the Education Edition option in your world settings before you load in. The game will automatically create a copy of your world with the [EDU] prefix. This is where you’ll see all the chemistry features including Roentgenium. Keep in mind that Education gameplay can change your world, so that’s why Minecraft makes this copy instead of changing your original world.
Finding Roentgenium in Creative Mode
Once you have the Chemistry Update enabled, you can grab Roentgenium from the Creative Inventory menu.
| Minecraft Version | Creative Menu Location |
|---|---|
| Education Edition 1.4.0 to 1.14.31 | Construction |
| Education Edition 1.17.30+ | Items |
