Benzene is a chemical compound you can craft in Minecraft using the Chemistry Update. It’s available in Minecraft Education Edition and can also be enabled in Pocket Edition, Windows 10, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
This guide shows you exactly what materials you need and how to craft Benzene in the Compound Creator.
What You Need to Make Benzene
To craft Benzene (C₆H₆), you’ll need:
- 6 Carbon
- 6 Hydrogen
That’s it. Drop these elements into the Compound Creator and you’ve got Benzene.
How to Craft Benzene
Step 1: Open the Compound Creator
First, open the Compound Creator from your inventory. You’ll see a 3×3 crafting grid with an output box on the right side.
Step 2: Add the Elements
Place 6 Carbon and 6 Hydrogen in the crafting grid. You can arrange them however you want, the position doesn’t matter. Once you’ve added all the elements, Benzene will appear in the output box on the right.
Step 3: Move It to Your Inventory
Click the Benzene in the output box to move it into your inventory. Done.
Enabling Chemistry Features
If you’re playing on Pocket Edition, Windows 10, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch, you need to enable Education Edition features first:
- Open your world settings
- Toggle the Education Edition option on
- Minecraft will create a copy of your world labeled [EDU]
- Play in that world to access all chemistry features
Chemistry is built into Minecraft Education Edition by default, so you don’t need to enable anything.
