PokeHud Mod Overview
PokeHud Mod is a client-side overlay that works with Pixelmon to help you spot special Pokemon. It shows shiny Pokemon, bosses, legendaries, owned Pokemon, and Pokemon with custom palettes. The overlay displays an on-screen compass and distance counter so you know exactly how far away your target is.
This is one of those mods that feels like it should be built into Pixelmon. If you’re hunting shinies or looking for specific spawns, it saves you hours of mindless searching.
What Shows Up on the HUD
PokeHud filters Pokemon based on what you’re looking for. You can toggle different categories on and off:
- Pokemon you’ve already caught
- Shiny Pokemon
- Legendary Pokemon
- Boss Pokemon
- Pokemon with custom color palettes
- NPCs
- Pokestops
- Pokeballs
- Any Pokemon in your search tab
Only Pokemon within your render distance show up, so you won’t see things that are too far away. The overlay is purely visual and doesn’t affect gameplay.
How It Works
PokeHud runs on the client side, which means it works fine on servers. The mod watches for Pokemon spawns and displays their location on your screen along with the distance. You can customize which Pokemon types to display using a color palette system.
This is a lightweight mod with minimal performance impact. It just draws text and overlay markers, nothing heavy on your GPU.
