What Is Pokecube Revival?
Pokecube Revival is a continuation of the original Pokecube mod, which hasn’t been updated since Minecraft 1.6.4. The mod was originally created by Manchou and has been brought back to life by Thutmose with support for modern Minecraft versions.
This mod adds fully functional Pokemon to your Minecraft world. Unlike some other Pokemon mods, these creatures are designed to feel like natural Minecraft mobs. They fight in real-time combat, learn different moves on the fly, and use terrain advantages during battles.
Core Features
Real-Time Combat System
Battles aren’t just auto-attacks. You can switch your Pokemon’s moves mid-fight and adjust your tactics based on what your opponent is doing. Combat feels dynamic and actually requires some thought.
Pokemon That Do More
Your Pokemon aren’t just for fighting. Configure the mod settings and they’ll help you around the world. They can cut trees, dig holes, and interact with the environment. Makes them feel useful beyond just combat encounters.
Minecraft-Style Design
The Pokemon here blend with Minecraft’s block-based aesthetic instead of looking like high-res anime characters. It’s a surprisingly good fit once you see them in action.
What You Need
Before installing this mod, make sure you have:
- Minecraft Forge
- ThutCore
- Pokecube Core (required for Minecraft 1.8 and newer)
Installation Steps
Once Forge is installed on your system:
- Download the Pokecube Revival file for your Minecraft version
- Place it in your mods folder (.minecraft/mods)
- Launch Minecraft and the mod will load automatically
