BlazeandCave’s Advancements is a data pack that adds over 250 new advancements to Minecraft. If you find the default advancements a bit sparse or want extra goals to work towards in survival mode, this pack fills that gap nicely. Works with singleplayer worlds, LAN servers, and public multiplayer servers.
What You Get
250+ New Advancements
Brings the total advancement count from 79 to 329. All existing vanilla tabs get new challenges, and five brand new tabs are added.
Five New Advancement Tabs
Building, Combat, Redstone, Enchanting, and Potions. These cover areas that vanilla Minecraft barely touches, giving you way more variety to chase after.
Expanded Vanilla Tabs
The existing tabs (Minecraft, Nether, End, Husbandry, Adventure) all get new advancements. The Minecraft tab gets renamed to Mining and Husbandry becomes Farming to match the new organization.
Optional Item Rewards
Unlocking advancements can grant you items via command functions if you enable that feature. Nice bonus for completionists.
Multiple Language Support
The pack supports full translation via the BACAP Language Pack, with Pirate Speak and Lolcat available. You can contribute translations too.
How to Install
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Copy both the “blazeandcave” and “minecraft” folders from inside the “advancements” folder.
- Paste them into your world folder at: [World Name]/data/advancements. Important: this is the /data/advancements folder, not the plain /advancements folder where player data lives.
- Join your world. Type
/advancement grant @p only blaand press tab. If it autocompletes to blazeandcave, you’re good to go. Or place and break any block and the “Building” tab should unlock.
Version Compatibility
This data pack works with Minecraft 1.13.2 and 1.12.2. It’s purely data files, so no mod loaders or dependencies required.
