Minecraft 1.14 Snapshot 18w47b adds pillager outposts and raids to villages. This snapshot brings world generation improvements, adjusted mob spawning, and new Jappa textures.
New Features
Pillager Outposts
Pillager outposts now spawn in any biome where villages can generate. These structures use the new Jigsaw block for procedural generation, so no two outposts are exactly the same. Find one during exploration and you’ll know pillagers are nearby.
Raids
Kill a pillager captain wearing a banner and you’ll get the Bad Omen effect. Enter a village with Bad Omen active and a raid starts. Defend your village or watch it burn.

- Major world generation performance improvements
- Mob spawning adjusted to match 1.13.2 behavior
- More Jappa texture updates
- Fixed strongholds not generating properly
- Reduced pillager spawn rates so outposts aren’t overcrowded
- Block texture adjustments from player feedback
