If you play PvP in Minecraft, you know about the click delay. Every time you click without actually hitting a mob or player, there’s a built-in cooldown before you can swing again. It’s annoying and ruins your combos.
This happens when you’re out of range or not looking directly at your target. The delay is 10 ticks by default. You’ll be swinging and suddenly stop for a split second even though you’re still clicking. That’s the delay kicking in. Hit Delay Fix Mod removes this problem entirely.
How the Mod Works
Hit Delay Fix is a simple Forge mod that turns off the click delay completely. Two versions are available.
Normal Version
- Works with all Forge 1.8.x versions
- Disables the hit delay permanently
- No commands needed
- Doesn’t show up in your mods list
Debug Version
- Works with Forge 1.8.9 only
- Toggle the fix on and off with commands
- See hit/miss stats in chat
- Also hidden from mods list
Debug Commands
- /hitdelayfix on – Enable the fix (default)
- /hitdelayfix off – Restore vanilla 10-tick delay
- /hitdelaydebug on – Show hit/miss counter
- /hitdelaydebug off – Hide the counter
- /hitdelaydebug reset – Clear the counter
