Dying in a cave on the other side of the map is frustrating. You lose all your stuff, and by the time you trek back, night might be falling. Better Respawn Mod fixes this by letting you spawn near where you died instead of at your bed. It’s a simple quality-of-life improvement that makes losing items way less painful.
Features
- Respawn close to your death location instead of at your bed spawn point
- Configurable minimum and maximum respawn distance
- Still respawn at your bed if you die in the End or another dimension
- Respawn at your bed/anchor if you’re already within range of it
How It Works
When you die, the mod picks a random spot between your configured minimum and maximum distance from your death point. Your items still drop where you died, but now they’re actually reachable without a 10-minute hike back. If you’re close enough to a bed or respawn anchor, it respects that instead.
Installation
Better Respawn Mod requires either Forge or Fabric. Pick the loader you use and download the version matching your Minecraft version.
