Just Enough Effect Descriptions 1.19.4, 1.18.2

Just Enough Effect Descriptions Mod is a Just Enough Items plugin that adds a helpful effects category to JEI. It lets you see exactly what status effects do, what items give you those effects, and which mod they came from. All the info is right there in the JEI interface, no hunting around.

What This Mod Does

Browse All Status Effects

Click any status effect icon in JEI or click an active effect from your inventory screen. You’ll see the Effects recipe category, which shows you all the details. The mod pulls in every registered status effect automatically, so you get coverage of vanilla effects plus modded ones.

See Effect Information

For each effect, you’ll find what items can provide it, the effect’s description, which mod it’s from, and its color value. Vanilla effects come with descriptions. Modded effects will have descriptions if the mod author added them using the standard language file format.

For Mod Developers

Modders can add descriptions for custom effects by adding the string “effect.[mod_id].[effect_name].description” to their language file. If you’ve made custom effect-granting items, you can add recipe support so the mod detects them. The mod only auto-detects food items, so custom effect items need a recipe entry.
