What Does It Do?

When you quit a world, Minecraft normally freezes the game while it saves everything to disk. This can take anywhere from a few seconds to minutes depending on how big your world is. FastQuit skips that wait and lets you bounce back to the menu right away. The mod handles the saving on a separate thread, so nothing gets lost even if you restart the launcher.

The mod is built with thread safety in mind. If something goes wrong (which is rare), the worst case is that an action fails and Minecraft tells you about it. Your save file stays protected.
