What is Blue Concrete?
Blue concrete is a solid building block in Minecraft that you can use for construction. It’s one of the colored concrete variants, and it comes in a bright blue color. You can’t craft it directly in a crafting table, but making it is simple once you have the right materials.
Finding Blue Concrete in Creative Mode
Java Edition (PC/Mac)
Blue concrete appears in different places depending on your version:

Making Blue Concrete in Survival Mode
You only need two things to make blue concrete:
- 1 Water Bucket
- 1 Blue Concrete Powder
Step 1: Place Blue Concrete Powder
Put down a block of blue concrete powder wherever you want to turn it into concrete.
Step 2: Pour Water on the Powder
Grab your water bucket and apply it to the powder. The powder will instantly turn solid blue concrete. Here’s the control for each platform:
- Java Edition (PC/Mac): Right-click the powder with water bucket selected
- Pocket Edition (PE): Tap the powder
- Xbox 360/One: Press LT
- PS3/PS4: Press L2
- Wii U: Press ZL
- Nintendo Switch: Press ZL
- Windows 10 Edition: Right-click the powder
- Education Edition: Right-click the powder
Only the concrete powder blocks that touch the water will turn into concrete. The rest stays as powder.
Step 3: Collect the Water
Pick up the water back into your bucket using the same controls you used to place it.
Done. You now have blue concrete.
