Does Potato Tick Mod 1.16.5 | Server Performance

Stop distant entities from ticking with Does Potato Tick Mod 1.16.5. Boost server performance. Works with Forge. Download for Minecraft 1.16.5.

Does Potato Tick Mod (1.16.5) is a server performance optimization tool that prevents entities and fluids from ticking when they’re too far away from players. If you’re running a server or dealing with lag issues, this mod cuts down unnecessary entity processing and gives you back server resources.

What Does Potato Tick Do

This mod targets one of the biggest performance drains on servers: entities that are miles away and still being processed. With this mod installed, distant entities stop ticking until they get close enough to matter. You can whitelist specific entities in the config if you need them to always tick.

You can also limit how fast dropped items tick in the world. By default this is off because some players notice visual stutter, but if you’re desperate for performance it’s there as an option.

Features

  • Entities beyond the configured distance stop ticking
  • Fluids far from players stop ticking
  • Optional: slow down dropped items tick speed
  • Whitelist system for entities that always need to tick
  • Configurable distance threshold

Requirements

You need Minecraft Forge and the Observable Mod to run this.
