Vanilla Weapons 3D+ Resource Pack
Vanilla Weapons 3D+ is a lightweight resource pack that replaces your weapon models with 3D variants. Rename your sword or axe and get a completely different look. The pack supports six weapon types for each material, plus food items and roleplay gear. It’s a small download that works great with OptiFine.
Weapon Variants
Swords – Change any sword’s name to one of these and see a new 3D model:
- Rapier (sleek and quick)
- Spear (long reach)
- Dagger (short and deadly)
- Halberd (polearm hybrid)
- Short Sword (compact)
- Long Sword (two-hander style)
Works with all sword types: Netherite, Diamond, Iron, Gold, Stone, and Wood.
Axes – Get these variants by renaming:
- Battle Axe
- War Hammer
- Zweihander
Available for Netherite, Diamond, Iron, Gold, Stone, and Wood axes.
Food and Roleplay Items
The pack also changes a few food items and tools when renamed:
- Honey Bottle becomes Beer or Tea
- Bread becomes Cheese
- Mushroom Stew becomes Garlic Soup
- Rabbit Stew becomes Chicken Soup
- Wooden Hoe becomes a Pipe
What You Need
This pack requires OptiFine to work properly. Make sure you have OptiFine installed before using Vanilla Weapons 3D+.
How to Install
- Download the resource pack file for your Minecraft version
- Open Minecraft and go to Options > Resource Packs
- Click “Open Pack Folder”
- Drop the downloaded file into that folder
- Activate it in the Resource Packs menu
- To use a variant, rename your weapon with an anvil to match one of the names listed above

Compatible Versions
Vanilla Weapons 3D+ works with Minecraft 1.17.1 and up, including 1.20.6, 1.20.4, 1.20.1, 1.19.3, 1.19.2, and 1.19. Each version has its own file below.
