Motion Capture Mod

Motion Capture Mod lets you record and playback player movements in full detail. Instead of relying on real players for cinematic scenes, you can capture someone’s movements once and replay them however you want. Record everything from basic actions like sprinting and jumping to complex interactions like placing blocks, using items, and riding entities. Then layer multiple recordings together with custom offsets, delays, and player skins to create exactly the scene you’re after.

What Gets Recorded

• Player movements and positions
• Sprinting, jumping, swimming, sneaking
• Hand swings and arm movements
• Using items and eating
• Equipment (held items and armor)
• Status effects (fire, invisibility, glowing, etc.)
• Block interactions (placing, breaking, using)
• Riding and controlling entities

How to Use Motion Capture

Recording movements:

• Use /mocap recording start to begin recording. You can record your own movements or another player’s by adding their name.
• Use /mocap recording stop when done, then /mocap recording save [name] to save it.

Playing recordings:

• Use /mocap playing start [name] (player_name) (mineskin_url) to play a saved recording with an optional custom skin.

Creating scenes:

• Use /mocap scenes add [scene_name] to create a new scene.
• Add recordings to it with /mocap scenes addTo [scene_name] [recording_name] plus optional parameters for delay, position offset, player name, and skin.
• You can even add scenes inside other scenes by prefixing the name with a dot.
• Play scenes with /mocap playing start .[scene_name] (note the dot prefix).

• /mocap settings – View and change mod settings
• /mocap info – Show mod information

Requirements

Motion Capture Mod requires either Minecraft Forge or Fabric. Choose the version that matches your mod loader and Minecraft version.
