What You Can Do

Disable Vanilla Ores

Turn off any ore generation entirely. Disable diamonds, coal, iron, or anything else. Stone variants like andesite, granite, and diorite can be removed too, along with underground dirt and gravel.

Build Custom Ore Generation

After disabling vanilla generation for an ore, you can set up your own rules. Control everything:

Minimum and maximum spawn height (Y-level)
Minimum and maximum vein size
How many veins spawn per chunk

Fine-Tune World Generation

Adjust spawn rates on a per-chunk basis. Set precise height limits to match new terrain generation in 1.18+. Create completely custom ore distributions for your server or modpack.

Disabling an Ore

Find the ore in your OreTweaker config (like Diamond)
Set “Disable [Ore Name]” to true
Save the config

Creating Custom Ore Generation

Find the same ore in the config
Set “Custom OreGen: [Ore Name]” to true
Set your spawn rate per chunk
Set minimum vein size
Set maximum vein size
