Magenta glazed terracotta is a decorative block that adds color to your Minecraft builds. You can’t craft it at a crafting table. Instead, you need to smelt magenta terracotta in a furnace. Here’s how to make it.
What is Magenta Glazed Terracotta?
Magenta glazed terracotta is a decorative block in Minecraft. It has a bright magenta color with patterns on its surface. The cool part: it rotates depending on which direction you place it. This means you can create cool directional patterns in your builds.
How to Find It in Creative Mode
Java Edition (PC/Mac)
You can find magenta glazed terracotta in the Creative inventory menu. The location changed in newer versions:
- Versions 1.12 to 1.19: Look in the Decoration Blocks tab
- Versions 1.19.3 to 1.20: Look in the Colored Blocks tab
What You Need to Make It
To smelt magenta glazed terracotta, you only need one thing:
- 1 Magenta Terracotta block
You’ll also need fuel like coal, wood, or charcoal to smelt it in the furnace.
Crafting Steps
Step 1: Open the Furnace
First, open your furnace. You should see the furnace menu with two boxes at the top and one below.
Step 2: Add Fuel
Place your fuel (coal works great) in the bottom fuel box. The furnace will start burning and show flames.
Step 3: Put Magenta Terracotta in the Top Box
Place the magenta terracotta in the top input box. The furnace will start cooking it. You’ll see the progress bar fill up as it smelts.
Step 4: Collect Your Magenta Glazed Terracotta
