Ever wondered what you actually look like while playing Minecraft? The First-person Model Mod shows your character model in first-person view, just like you’re seeing the world through Steve’s eyes. No more invisible body.
What Does It Do?
This mod renders your third-person model while you’re in first-person mode. You’ll see your arms, torso, and legs as you move around. The mod doesn’t change any animations, so you get the full experience of Mojang’s animation choices, shield + bow included.
Will It Work With Other Mods?
Yes. The mod uses simple mixin hooks, so it plays nice with other mods like MoBends, custom animations, and 3D armor mods. Since it’s purely visual, it works on vanilla servers too. No server-side changes needed.
Installation
You’ll need either Forge or Fabric. Pick your mod loader and follow the steps below.
For Forge:
- Download Minecraft Forge for your version
- Run the installer
- Download the First-person Model Mod from below
- Put the mod file in your .minecraft/mods folder
- Launch the game
For Fabric:
- Download Fabric Loader
- Download Fabric API
- Install both using their installers
- Download the First-person Model Mod from below
- Put the mod file in your .minecraft/mods folder
- Launch the game
