Summoning a Blaze in Minecraft
Need a Blaze without heading to the Nether? You can spawn one instantly using the /summon command. This guide covers every Minecraft Java Edition version and shows you exactly what to type.
Before You Start
You need cheats enabled in your world to use commands. If you haven’t done this yet, create a world with cheats turned on or enable them in an existing world through the pause menu.
The Command Syntax
Minecraft 1.13 and Newer (1.13 – 1.20)
/summon blaze [pos] [nbt]
pos (optional): The coordinates where the Blaze spawns. Use ~ ~ ~ to spawn at your current location.
nbt (optional): Add properties like custom names or behavior tags. Example: {NoAI:1} makes the Blaze stand still.
Minecraft 1.11 and 1.12
/summon blaze [x] [y] [z] [dataTag]
Minecraft 1.8 – 1.10
/summon Blaze [x] [y] [z] [dataTag]
Note: Earlier versions use capital “B” in Blaze.
