How do I install the Bugs data pack?

What Minecraft versions does this work with?

This data pack works on Minecraft 1.20.4, 1.20.1, and 1.19.4. It won't work on other versions.

Are these bugs just visual or do they affect gameplay?

They're purely visual. Fireflies glow, moths fly around, and ladybugs spawn naturally, but they don't change any game mechanics or drop items.

Can I use this with other data packs?

Probably. Most data packs don't conflict as long as they're modifying different things. Just load them both and test it out.

Where do these bugs spawn?

Fireflies spawn in suitable biomes and light areas at night. Moths appear around light sources like torches and lanterns. Ladybugs spawn in various places naturally.

What’s in This Data Pack?

Adds fireflies, moths, and ladybugs to Minecraft. Simple stuff. They spawn naturally and just exist in your world like real bugs would.

Fireflies

Glowing bugs that light up at night. They spawn in the right spots and look cool flying around. Makes nighttime less dark and gives your world more atmosphere.

Moths

These fly around light sources like lanterns and torches. They’ll flutter near your builds and structures, adding some life to the place. Good if you want your world to feel more populated.

Ladybugs

Small critters that spawn around naturally. They don’t do anything special, just add a bit of charm. Supposedly lucky too, if that matters to you.
