Vanilla Immersion Mod 1.12.2, 1.10.2, 1.9.4

Vanilla Immersion replaces boring GUIs with in-world block interactions. Craft, smelt, enchant directly from the world. For 1.9.4 to 1.12.2.

Vanilla Immersion Mod Overview

Vanilla Immersion is a mod that gets rid of popup GUIs and lets you interact with blocks directly in the world. Instead of opening a window to craft or smelt something, you actually work with your hands on the crafting table, furnace, anvil, and other blocks. It’s a simple idea but it makes Minecraft feel way more immersive and engaging.

Features

Immersive Crafting Table

The crafting table now works like it looks. Place items directly on the grid by right-clicking the slots. Left-click to remove items. Sneak-click to move entire stacks at once. You get drag support just like vanilla, and it works with JEI for quick recipe lookups. Hoppers can insert items into the outer slots too, so automation still works.

Immersive Furnace

Smelt items directly on the furnace without opening a menu. Insert fuel on the bottom half, ore on the top half. You can actually see inside the furnace now to watch your metals cook. The fuel visually burns down as it’s used. Hoppers work the same way they do in vanilla.

Immersive Anvil

Repair and enchant your tools on an actual anvil using a hammer. Place the item to repair in the pickaxe slot, the modifier in the ingot slot, and grab a hammer. Each hit with the hammer costs one experience level. You’ll hear a sound effect if the operation fails. You can team up with friends on the same anvil if you need extra experience.

Hammer Tool

The hammer is used to work items on the anvil. It’s made from iron and has the same durability as other iron tools. Use a standard crafting recipe to make one.

Immersive Enchantment Table

The enchantment table’s floating book now actually does something. Select enchantments by clicking pages and flipping through them. See exactly what each enchantment costs in experience and lapis lazuli before you apply it. The enchanting process takes about 6 seconds, giving you time to back out if needed.

Immersive Brewing Stand

Brew potions directly on the stand instead of through a menu. Right-click the tubes to add or remove potions. Drop or click the bowl on top to add ingredients. All the vanilla automation features still work normally.

Immersive Beacon

Beacons now let you see and change effects from the outside. Right-click any side to enter edit mode, then scroll to change the active effect on that face. Select the barrier icon to disable effects. Right-click to confirm your changes. Once you’re done setting it up, right-click the center crystal while holding materials to activate it.
