The Loader Mod is a simple but really useful tool for anyone working with datapacks or resource packs. Instead of dropping packs into your world folder or manually selecting them, this mod creates a global “the_loader” folder that automatically loads everything in it. No selection needed, no world-specific requirements. It just works across everything you play.
What The Loader Mod Does
The mod creates a folder structure at .minecraft/the_loader with two subfolders: one for datapacks and one for resource packs. Any packs you put in these folders load automatically, just like they would normally, except you don’t have to set them up per world. This is huge for modpack developers and anyone testing multiple packs at once.
Perfect For:
- Modpack creators testing datapacks and resource packs
- Players who want global pack setups
- Development and experimentation
- Quick pack swapping without world file management
