The John Reborn Mod
The John Reborn Mod brings back the classic horror from the original John Mod, reimagined for modern Minecraft. This mod adds some seriously scary creatures to your world. We’re talking scarier than Herobrine or Slenderman. The Johns are brutal, efficient, and they hunt you.
The mod features new textures, items, and creatures that keep the creepy vibe of the original while giving it a fresh look. You’ll find rare drops, craft powerful weapons, and face down a terrifying boss that can appear under the right conditions.
The John Variants
Normal John
A rare creature with paper-thin white skin, two mouths, and soulless eyes that constantly stream bloody tears. It preys on fear, toys with its victims, and is fast, strong, and brutal. Don’t approach.
Sprinting John
Just like a normal John but with one key difference: the second it sees you, it charges. These variants are impossibly fast. No human can outrun them. Your only option is to hide and hope it loses interest. The good news? They’re not very smart, and can be easily confused if you need to escape.
Hugging John
This variant extends its arms like it wants to embrace you. Don’t fall for it. If it grabs you, you’re done. Stay away.
Weeping John
Constantly crying, trying to appeal to your empathy and draw you in. The moment you look away or make a sound, it strikes. You can actually kill this one, but only if you follow these rules: Don’t run, don’t look away, don’t make a sound, and don’t blink.
Baby Johns
Infant versions that haven’t developed special abilities yet, but don’t underestimate them. They spawn in groups of up to 15 and move faster than most adult variants. They’re weaker, but more are always worse.
The Hunted
A mysterious creature that appears during the waxing gibbous phase, right before the full moon. All creatures chase it, but nothing pays attention. It roams until the Mega John spawns.
Mega John
When the full moon arrives, the Hunted transforms into this nightmare. Standing 15 meters tall, it has a 200-meter vision range and can be heard shrieking from over 500 meters away. If you see it, run. Hide. Wait it out. It’ll be gone for the next three lunar cycles.
Moon Mechanics
On the full moon, Johns and baby Johns have a 50% chance to spawn with strength or speed buffs. This starts on the second full moon (day 7) rather than the first night to keep the early game playable. The Hunted appears during the waxing gibbous phase, and the Mega John emerges as the full moon rises.
