How do I install Stables Mod?

Install Minecraft Forge for 1.16.5, download the mod file, and place it in your .minecraft/mods folder. Restart Minecraft and you're good to go.

Does this mod work with Fabric?

Stables Mod is made for Forge only. You'll need Forge to use it. There's no Fabric version available.

What can the Stable Master trade?

The Stable Master buys resources for emeralds and sells saddles, horse armor (in different colors), and other horse-related items.

Do horses spawn in the barn automatically?

Yes. When the barn structure generates, horses will spawn inside it. Donkeys and mules can appear too, but they're less common.

Will this mod work with other mods?

Stables Mod works fine with most other mods since it just adds a structure and NPC. Check the comments if you hit any issues with specific mod combinations.

Stables Mod (1.16.5) - Barn for Horse Breeding

Stables Mod adds a barn structure that generates in the plains biome (and modded plains-like biomes). It’s a useful spot to grab saddles and horse armor without raiding villages or dungeons. A villager called the Stable Master runs the place and handles the trading.

What’s in the Mod

The Barn Structure

The barn isn’t just one design. It has variations, some built with stone brick instead of regular brick. The front entrance has a few different looks too. Inside, the stalls and main pathway have randomized flooring so each barn feels a bit different.

Horses spawn naturally in the stable when it generates. You might find a donkey or mule hanging around too, though that’s rarer.

Stable Master Trading

This special villager handles all the trading. They’ll buy basic resources for emeralds and then sell horse-related items. Each trade includes a random horse armor type, so you can get different colors.

Installing the Mod

You need Minecraft Forge installed first. If you don’t have it, grab it from our Minecraft Forge guide.

Once Forge is set up, follow these steps:
