Souls Mod turns death into a real challenge. When you die, an angry Soul spawns and takes your inventory. You have to kill it to get your stuff back, or try stealing items with the Pickpocket’s Gauntlet if you’re feeling risky.

What You Get

Souls That Fight Back

When you die, a Soul appears holding all your items and wearing your armor. These aren’t passive – they’ll fight back if you attack them. Kill the Soul to reclaim your inventory, or leave it alone and start fresh. If you log back in after dying, the Soul de-aggros.

Soul Identifier

Use a Soul Identifier to check what a Soul is carrying. The item shows you the owner’s name, how long ago they died, and how many items they’re holding. Craft it with a Book and an Ender Pearl.

Pickpocket’s Gauntlet

A risky way to steal from Souls. By default it has a 10% success rate and 16 charges. Refill it with Ender Pearls. If you fail the steal attempt, the Soul attacks. You can find it in village blacksmith chests.

Change difficulty to fit your playstyle. Make Souls equip the best weapons and armor from their inventory, or make them completely passive. Configure combat difficulty, item keep chances, and more.
