Got a stack of rotten flesh from zombie farming? This data pack turns it into leather without any mods. Just put rotten flesh in a furnace with coal and you’ll get leather back. Each piece takes 30 seconds to cure, keeping the recipe balanced.
Why Convert Rotten Flesh?
Zombies and husks drop rotten flesh constantly. You can trade it to Cleric villagers (36-40 flesh per emerald), but Leatherworkers pay better for leather (9-12 leather per emerald). Since the furnace converts rotten flesh to leather at a solid rate, you get more emeralds by converting first. Plus, leather is useful for crafting armor, saddles, and other items.
