Resistance Status Effect Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains the Resistance effect with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

Background

The Resistance effect is a status effect that reduces the amount of damage you will take in the game with the exception of damage from the Void and the /kill command.

There are levels of Resistance such as Resistance II, Resistance III, Resistance IV and so on. The higher the level of Resistance, the more immune you are to taking damage. Each level of Resistance makes you 20% more immune to damage.

When the Resistance effect wears off, the icon and particle effects will disappear. You will be back to your normal status.

Duration

Depending on how you get the effect, the duration of the Resistance effect will be different. To see how much time is remaining for the effect, go to your inventory menu.

In this example, it says 3:05 under Resistance so this means that there is 3 minutes and 5 seconds remaining of the Resistance effect.
