Reinforced Deepslate Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft reinforced deepslate with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, reinforced deepslate is a new item that was introduced in the Wild Update. Reinforced deepslate is very strong and takes considerably longer to mine than obsidian. It also can not be moved by pistons. Reinforced deepslate is blast-resistant and is immune to the ender dragon and the wither boss.

Reinforced deepslate is an item that can not obtained in Survival mode. There is currently no crafting recipe for this item and if you break reinforced deepslate (even with a Silk Touch tool), it will not drop the block. You can only find reinforced deepslate in the Creative Inventory menu or you can give yourself one using a game command (see below).

Let’s explore how to add reinforced deepslate to your inventory using a game command.

Where to find Reinforced Deepslate in Creative Mode

Minecraft Java Edition (PC/Mac)

Here is where you can find reinforced deepslate in the Creative Inventory menu:

Platform Version(s) Creative Menu Location
Java Edition (PC/Mac) 1.19 – 1.19.3
  • Platform is the platform that applies.
  • Version(s) is the Minecraft version numbers where the item can be found in the menu location listed (we have tested and confirmed this version number).
  • Creative Menu Location is the location of the item in the Creative Inventory menu.

Where to find Reinforced Deepslate in Survival Mode

You can find reinforced deepslate in the Ancient City in the Deep Dark biome.

Reinforced deepslate is naturally generated and used to create a frame-like structure that can be found in the center of the Ancient City. Look for a large wall made up of deepslate bricks and deepslate tiles. In the center of the wall, there is a large, rectangular frame constructed entirely of reinforced deepslate. You might find sculk veins growing on the sides of some of these reinforced deepslate blocks.

Here is a picture of what this reinforced deepslate looks like:

Nearby, there are lots of candles that are lit up. Beneath the wall, you can find the blue flames of soul fire burning and crackling. And below these flames, underground, you can find a series of redstone devices and rooms to explore.

All in all, this reinforced deepslate should be fairly easy to find. But be careful though, because your vibrations can awaken the Warden.
