Redstone Paste Mod adds a new type of redstone wiring that works on walls, ceilings, and floors. Instead of dust spreading across all faces of a block, paste lets you control exactly which directions a signal flows. It’s one of the most creative redstone mods out there.

What is Redstone Paste?

Think of redstone paste as a more flexible alternative to regular redstone dust. You can place it on any side of a block face and direct it in only the directions you want. This makes building compact redstone contraptions way easier, especially on vertical surfaces.

When you place paste on a block face, it divides into four sections. You can remove individual segments by clicking them, or clear the whole face by clicking the center. The paste won’t interact with regular redstone dust unless you deliberately connect them.

Vertical Redstone

Place redstone paste on walls and ceilings. This opens up new possibilities for compact builds and hidden redstone circuits that would be impossible with vanilla dust.

Sticky Repeaters and Comparators

The mod includes sticky versions of repeaters and comparators. These work with paste and let you build complex logic circuits on any surface.

Hide with Slabs

Right-click paste with a slab to cover it completely. This works with slabs from other mods too, as long as they use Minecraft’s standard slab class. A ghost image shows you where you can place the slab.

Directional Control

Each piece of paste can send signals in only the directions you specify. Sneak and place to add the segment on the opposite side, or to fill all four directions at once. This precision makes your circuits cleaner and more compact.

Crafting

The recipe for redstone paste is simple: one redstone dust plus one slimeball makes four pieces of paste. You can also use the alternate recipe of a slimeball surrounded by redstone dust. The config file lets you adjust the output amount and switch between recipes.

Sticky repeaters and comparators have equally straightforward recipes. We recommend installing Just Enough Items (for Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for Fabric) to see all recipes in-game.

Installation

This mod requires Minecraft Forge. Follow these steps:

1. Install Forge for your Minecraft version
2. Download the mod file for your version
3. Place it in your .minecraft/mods folder
4. Launch Minecraft
