Quality Crops Mod brings Stardew Valley style quality tiers to Minecraft farming. Grow crops and cook food that come in different rarities, each giving different nutrition and saturation boosts. It’s a simple way to make farming feel more rewarding.
How Quality Crops Works
Every crop and food item can spawn with a quality tier. When you harvest crops or kill animals, you have a chance to get higher quality versions. Better quality means better nutrition.
Quality tiers are shown with a star on the item icon. The rarer the quality, the brighter the star. All foods get a multiplier to both saturation and nutrition based on their rarity.
Quality Tiers and Bonuses
- Iron Quality: 1.25x saturation and nutrition
- Gold Quality: 1.5x saturation and nutrition
- Diamond Quality: 2x saturation and nutrition
Drop Chances
When you harvest or kill for food, here’s what you’re likely to get:
- Iron Quality: 15% chance
- Gold Quality: 10% chance
- Diamond Quality: 5% chance
What Items Have Quality
Crops
Beetroot, brown and red mushrooms, kelp, wheat, carrots, potatoes, melon slices, and cocoa beans can all come in different qualities when harvested.
Foods and Meats
Raw and cooked meats, raw and cooked fish, eggs, bread, beetroot soup, mushroom and rabbit stew, apples, cookies, pumpkin pie, dried kelp, poisonous potatoes, baked potatoes, and dough.
Dough is new to this mod and used to craft quality bread.
Getting Quality Items
Crops
Just harvest plants normally. You’ll randomly get different quality tiers.
Meat and Fish
Kill animals the same way you normally do. If you want cooked meat, kill the animal while it’s on fire or smelt raw meat in a furnace.
Eggs
Eggs spawn normally but have a chance to be replaced with different quality versions.

Quality Crops Mod requires Minecraft Forge. Download the version that matches your Minecraft installation.
