Productive Villagers Mod adds new jobs and duties to your villagers, so they actually do useful work instead of just standing around. Each profession gets its own tasks. Toolsmiths can repair your tools and weapons. Butchers provide meat without killing animals. Leather workers convert rotten flesh into leather. Every profession has something to contribute, and they all trade for emeralds. You get more time to focus on building and exploring while your villagers keep busy with their jobs.
What You Get
New Villager Jobs
Each villager profession now has actual work to do. Toolsmiths repair damaged tools near their workstations. Weapon smiths fix up swords, tridents, and other combat gear. Leather workers turn rotten flesh into usable leather. Butchers provide meat from their workstations, so you don’t have to farm animals manually. When villagers finish their jobs, they trade the results for emeralds, just like normal trading.
More Trading Options
Instead of manually grinding items, you can now visit nearby villagers and trade for what you need. Stock up on emeralds, and your villagers handle the production. It’s a good way to generate resources without spending all your time on repetitive tasks.
New Items
The mod adds new items that work with the villager jobs system, giving your villagers more to actually do with their time.
How to Install
You need either Fabric or Forge installed for your Minecraft version first. Then drop the mod file into your mods folder.
Step-by-Step
- Install Fabric Modloader or Minecraft Forge
- Install Fabric API if using Fabric
- Install Architectury API
- Download the mod file for your version (see links below)
- Place it in your .minecraft/mods folder
- Launch Minecraft and load the world
