Platinum is a chemical element block you can find in Minecraft Education Edition’s Chemistry Update. If you’ve got Education Edition features enabled, you can place, collect, and work with Platinum blocks in your world.
What is Platinum?
Platinum is element block 78 on the periodic table. In Minecraft, it appears as a physical block you can place, mine, and use like any other block. The element symbol is Pt and it represents real-world platinum, the precious metal.
Platinum is available in Minecraft Education Edition, Pocket Edition, Windows 10, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. You just need to enable Education Edition chemistry features in your world settings.
Enabling Chemistry Features
To access Platinum and other element blocks, go into your world settings and toggle on Education Edition. Here’s what happens next: Minecraft creates a copy of your world with “[EDU]” at the start of the name. All the chemistry features work in that new world. Your original world stays untouched.
Tip: When you enable Education Edition, Minecraft makes a backup copy so the features don’t affect your original world.

Give Command for Platinum
Want to add Platinum to your inventory instantly? Use the give command:
/give @p element_78 1 0
This works in Minecraft Pocket Edition 1.12.0 and later. The command gives you one Platinum block. Change the “1” to get more blocks at once, like /give @p element_78 32 0 for 32 blocks.
