What is the Peat Zombie Mod?
The Peat Zombie Mod adds a new undead mob to Minecraft that spawns in swamps. These are old zombies that got stuck in peat a long time ago. The cold, wet conditions preserved them and gave them some unique properties that make them different from regular zombies.
Stats and Abilities
- Health: 20 HP
- Armor: 4 armor points
- Damage: 3 per hit
- Speed: Faster than normal zombies
What Makes Them Different
- No Sun Damage: Peat Zombies don’t burn in sunlight. The peat keeps them from burning like regular zombies.
- Won’t Attack Villagers: They leave villagers alone but will go after pillagers, vindicators, and other hostile mobs. Witches are safe too.
- Lightning Changes Them: Hit one with a lightning bolt and it turns into a normal zombie.
- Creepy Appearance: They have glowing eyes and look noticeably different from regular zombies.
- Spawn Location: Only found in swamps and swampy hills.
Loot and Drops
When a Peat Zombie dies, it drops Rotten Peat Fresh. You can smelt this in a furnace to get gunpowder, but don’t carry too much of it. Holding rotten peat gives you Hunger and Weakness effects.
