Open Beta Puzzle Map (1.21.3, 1.20.1)

Test your puzzle skills in Open Beta, a creative map featuring mazes, parkour, and brain-bending challenges. Single-player puzzle adventure.

Open Beta is a puzzle map by camZ that puts you in the role of a test subject. The map maker is constantly cooking up new levels and needs playtesters. Your job? Work through every type of puzzle the map throws at you. Color mazes, parkour runs, and weird challenges are all fair game. You’ll figure out quick whether testing is all there is to this, or if there’s something deeper going on.

What to Expect

This isn’t your typical puzzle map. It’s designed around the idea that you’re being tested for reasons you don’t fully understand. The map mixes different puzzle types to keep you thinking. Mazes require actual navigation skills, parkour sections test timing, and other challenges work your brain in unexpected ways.

Puzzle Types

  • Color-based mazes
  • Parkour challenges
  • Logic and observation puzzles
  • Mystery elements you’ll uncover as you play

What You Need to Know

Open Beta is strictly single-player. Some puzzles are designed around the single-player experience and won’t work right with multiple people. It’s built for Minecraft 1.20.1, so use that version for the best experience. Version 1.21.3 is listed as compatible, but 1.20.1 is what the creator tested it on.

Version Compatibility

Open Beta lists support for versions 1.21.3 and 1.20.1. The map was tested and built around 1.20.1, so that’s your safest bet. If you try it on 1.21.3, it should work, but you might run into odd block or mechanic behavior if the versions differ too much in how they handle things. Always back up your saves before trying a map on a different version than intended.
