What is Mystical Mechanics API used for?

It's an API mod that adds mechanical power systems to Minecraft. You get iron axles, gearboxes, and gears that let you build machines powered by rotating shafts. Other mods can build on top of it for more complex mechanics.

Do I need Forge to use this mod?

Yes. Mystical Mechanics API requires Minecraft Forge. Make sure you install Forge for version 1.12.2 first, then add this mod to your mods folder.

Can I use this mod with other mods?

Yes. The gearbox system is designed to work with other mods like Embers. Gears from other mods that use the oredictionary system will work too.

How do gearboxes split power?

Whatever power comes into a gearbox gets divided equally among all the connected outputs. If you have 100 power going in and 4 outputs, each output gets 25 power.

Is this mod multiplayer compatible?

This is an API mod, so compatibility depends on how other mods implement it. Check with individual mods that use Mystical Mechanics for multiplayer support.

What’s Included

Iron Axles

The reference implementation for power transfer. Place these to move mechanical energy from one point to another.

Gearboxes

These are designed to work with other mods like Embers. Insert gears on the faces where you want axles to connect. Power gets split evenly across all connected outputs, so hooking up more outputs means less power per side.

Iron Gears

The basic gear for gearboxes. Supports oredictionary iron gears, so it works with gears from other mods too.

Flexible Gear System

The mod is designed to let modders implement different power transfer behaviors. This means interesting gear mechanics can be built on top of it.

What You Need

This mod requires Minecraft Forge. No other dependencies.
