Medieval Origins is a Fabric mod that expands the Origins Mod with entirely new playable races. If you’re already into Origins, this is a solid upgrade that adds depth to the race system without breaking your existing setup.
The core idea is simple: pick a race when you start your world and live with the consequences. Each race comes with its own passive abilities and drawbacks. Want to play as a Dwarf? You’ll dominate underground but struggle above ground. Roll a Troll and you get a massive body with extra health and thick skin for armor. Go Pixie if you want to fly, but expect a glass cannon experience with minimal health.

New Playable Races
Medieval Origins adds multiple new races beyond the standard Origins lineup. Each one changes how you interact with the game world.
Race-Specific Abilities
Every race has its own passive effects. Dwarves get bonuses underground, Trolls get more health, Pixies can fly but have weak health pools. These aren’t just cosmetic changes, they actually affect how you survive and explore.
Vanilla-Friendly Balance
The mod respects game balance while giving each race meaningful advantages and disadvantages. You won’t feel broken, but you’ll definitely feel like the race matters.

How to Install
Installation is straightforward if you’ve used Fabric mods before:
- Make sure you have Fabric Modloader installed for your Minecraft version
- Download Medieval Origins from the links below
- Drop the .jar file into your .minecraft/mods folder
- Make sure all requirements above are also in your mods folder
- Launch the game through Fabric
