How to Craft a Jungle Fence in Minecraft

Jungle Fence Recipe

Jungle fences are useful building blocks for creating enclosures, pens, and decorative barriers in Minecraft. They connect to adjacent blocks and other fences, making them perfect for building containment structures.

The crafting recipe creates 3 jungle fences at a time. You need 4 jungle planks and 2 sticks arranged in a specific pattern on your crafting table.

  • 4 Jungle Planks
  • 2 Sticks

How to Craft a Jungle Fence

Step 1: Open your crafting table to see the 3×3 crafting grid.

Step 2: Place the materials in this pattern:

  • Top row: jungle plank, stick, jungle plank
  • Middle row: jungle plank, stick, jungle plank
  • Bottom row: leave empty

Step 3: The 3 jungle fences appear on the right side of the crafting table.

Step 4: Move the jungle fences to your inventory.

Finding Jungle Fence in Creative Mode

In Creative Mode, jungle fence is located in the Decoration Blocks tab for Minecraft 1.8 through 1.19, and in the Building Blocks tab for versions 1.19.3 and newer.

Item ID and Commands

The internal name for jungle fence is minecraft:jungle_fence. It stacks up to 64 items.

For Minecraft 1.13+:

/give @p jungle_fence 1

For Minecraft 1.8 through 1.12:

/give @p jungle_fence 1 0

Block States

Jungle fences have the following adjustable properties:

  • north / south / east / west – Controls which directions the fence extends. Use true to connect, false to leave open.
  • waterlogged – Set to true if the fence is placed inside water.

Example: /setblock ~ ~ ~ jungle_fence[north=true,south=true,east=false,west=false]

Uses for Jungle Fences

Jungle fences work just like other fence blocks. Use them to create animal pens, perimeter walls, and decorative structures. They connect to jungle fence gates and other fence types.
