What is the Overlord boss and how do I summon it?

The Overlord is a two-stage boss fight. It has a 10% chance to spawn when you use an astral runestone, or guaranteed 100% chance with a strange astral runestone (crafted from 3 strange artifacts and an astral runestone). The first form has 300 HP, the true form has 500 HP and is much tougher.

How do I become a cultist?

Find or craft a Strange Statue and place it. Once placed, you become a cultist. The main benefit is that infectoids won't attack you, letting you farm or control them more easily.

What do I need to summon creatures?

You need a Summoning Altar with 4 candles around it (placed horizontally and vertically, not diagonally) and a Bottle of Souls. Different tiers require different amounts of cult points to craft the bottles.

Where can I find cult items?

Cult ruins spawn in plains biomes and contain items like Strange Statues, Sacrifice Altars, and Worship Altars. There's a rare 1 in 10000 chance of finding a ruined cult city with even better loot.

Infectum Mod Overview

Infectum Mod turns Minecraft into a dark, cultist adventure. You can become a cultist, summon infected creatures, transform biomes into infected wastelands, and face off against the Overlord boss. The whole mod revolves around infection, cult rituals, and controlling weird infectoid monsters.

Core Features

Cult Gameplay

Strange Statue: Place one to become a cultist. Found in cult ruins. Infectoids won’t attack you once you’re a cultist.
Cult Table: A decorative block that holds the Sacrifice Altar. Basically a cult furniture piece.
Cult Armor: Chest, legs, and boots plus an infectoid hat. The hat gives you Strength 2 when equipped.

Altars & Rituals

Sacrifice Altar: Kills any mob on a cult table and drops infectoid fangs, rotten flesh, and rare emeralds or diamonds. Each sacrifice gives 5 cult points.
Worship Altar: Right-click to get a task. Punch it 10 times or have a pet attack it to complete it. Gives 10 cult points per task.
Summoning Altar: Needs 4 candles around it (horizontal and vertical, not diagonal) plus a Bottle of Souls to activate.

Summoning & Creatures

Bottles of Souls (3 Tiers): Each tier needs more cult points and summons different creatures. Tier 1 (50 points) summons small tameable infectoids. Tier 2 (75 points) summons infectoid beetles and a rideable beetle queen. Tier 3 (100 points) summons tameable worms, queens, or bombers.
Infectoid Beetle: A support and fighter mob you can tame to help in battles.
Infectoid Beetle Queen: Smaller than the full queen but still rideable and tameable. Better for exploration.

Tools & Weapons

Infector Wand: Shoots infected biome blocks to spread infection and convert biomes into infected wastelands. Has 100 durability.
Scrap: Craft it by right-clicking a converter block with leather.
Overlord Weapons: Drop from the Overlord boss. The Astral Edge (36 damage) has an AOE ability. The Phantom Spear (13 damage) shoots projectiles. The Lunar Staff (13 melee) summons rings of shulker bullets.

Cult Ruins & Boss

Cult Ruins: Randomly spawn in plains biomes. Many types with different structures and cult items inside. There’s a 1 in 10000 chance of finding a ruined cult city.
Overlord Boss: A massive two-stage boss fight. First form has 300 HP and spawns at 10% chance with an astral runestone (guaranteed with a strange astral runestone). The true Overlord has 500 HP, 30 armor, and deals up to 20 damage. Drops legendary weapons.
